Fall at The Corley Mill House

Happy Fall!

Be safe, be well, and continue to plan your dream wedding!

Times are definitely different. But, this is your time and do not let Covid 19 prevent you from having your dream wedding. It is something you will cherish for the rest of your life. You share this special day with your family and friends who have watched you grow and waited for this your entire life. It can still be very special. Just a few precautions need to be taken and at The Corley Mill House, we are ready to help you with making your day safe and special for all your guests.

First, hand sanitizer will be placed in locations through out the venue. Our staff will wear mask and gloves. Our kitchen staff will be taking every precaution to ensure that your delicious food is safely made and presented in a safe manner. We will not have communal tongs, we will use bamboo skewers that each guests will get to pick up their food with. Speak with your Corley Mill  House representative to come up with cute and useful favors that apply to these unusual times. Example, provide each guests with a favor bag at the ceremony which has a mask, a disposable tong and a sanitizing wipe or two. It is very useful and helps to stop the spread of germs.

We also have a lot of outdoor space that can be used for social distancing. Utilize the beautiful grounds at The Corley Mill House .

A NOTE FROM THE NEW OWNERS

After our first three months,  Pam and I have found the work extremely challenging but ultimately rewarding.  Walking some of the families through this tricky world of this pandemic has built life long relationships.  Seeing them turn their dreams into extremely successful events is very exciting.  It is such an honor to see many of these families take their first steps together.

After our first three months here at the Corley Mill House we have accomplished many of our projects and are in different phases of completion of many others.  Our largest undertaking has been creating our new 1,100 square foot Bridal Suite.  We hope to have it completed and furnished by the beginning of October.  It will have a dedicated hair and make-up space as well as a separate dressing room.  We are adding shoe and purse cubes to one of the closet spaces.  It will have large open den space for lounging and enjoying bridesmaids time.   A full kitchen and bath round out a space that will fit the many needs of a Bride and her bridesmaids on this day of celebration and sharing.

We are updating both of our Bar areas with a Mahogany touch.  We have added new furnishings throughout the house, with many more pieces in the pipeline.  A house of this age and stature can make purchasing just the right pieces very difficult.

Scott Hall Catering will continue as in house caterer.   Also, he will be using fresh Lexington County peaches in cobblers. Scott can also provide the bars with some specialty cocktails that will delight your guests. Ask your CMH planner about the new frozen cocktails that can help keep your guests cool for those summer receptions.
