I am John Banks and with my wife Pam hope to welcome you into our house. We have built our careers on outstanding customer service. As new owners of the Corley Mill House & Gardens we have just one goal:  to help our partners create their vision. We hope to be the canvas that allows you to paint your portrait of the event that you want to create.

FAQs

The Corley Mill House & Gardens can conveniently accommodate approximately 200 vehicles in two separate parking lots. One lot is to the left as you face the main building; the other is directly across the street.

Guests needing additional assistance can be dropped off directly out front by using our semi-circular drive. Please enter at the second entrance so the vehicle’s passenger door is closet to the main entrance. Due to fire code, vehicles are unable to remain parked here.

Our surface lots are for self-parking. We do not charge an additional fee for parking. By special arrangement, valet parking can be made available.

Should your event require more parking spaces, other options are available on our property.

We offer both indoor and outdoor event space. While many of our events are held inside our historic home and can easily handle up to 200 people for heavy hors d’ouevre receptions or 140 guests for seated or plated lunches or dinners in our main level banquet room. We do offer outdoor space, as well.

Our two covered porches provide an indoor/outdoor option. Each can accommodate 30-50 people for reception-style events and are popular year-round. Our covered back porch with a bar can seat 16-20 people, while our other covered porch can seat 40 people.

Our manicured gardens  and landscaped lawns can be sectioned off to provide intimate settings amid nature. We would be happy to recommend specific locations based on your requirements. For larger events, our pastureland may lend itself to larger outdoor events like festivals or food truck rodeos. Our staff has extensive experience with festivals and events and would be happy to speak with you to determine if our capabilities are a match to your needs.

Our guests can do either. Scott Hall Catering, who has been providing service the venue for more than 15 years, operates out of our DHEC-approved kitchen and is familiar with the food and beverage needs of our guests as evidenced by his many menu options.

We do maintain a second health department-approved with a heating cabinet and ample counter space. This kitchen is available for use by outside caterers providing the vendor is professionally licensed and provides us with proof of current commercial insurance 2 weeks prior to your event.

You are welcome to bring your own alcohol onto the grounds and into our venue, providing it is a commercially made product in its original container. We are required to comply with health regulations and beverage laws and our insurance requires that all alcohol must be served by a professional bartender.

We would be happy to supply you with the names of those who have been used by other guests, or our trained bartending staff is available for a fee.

For your convenience, we do offer refrigeration space and ice at no additional charge and we do not charge a corkage fee.

We are so thankful for the technology of virtual meetings and live-streamed wedding ceremonies which we are sure will continue to play an important role in events moving forward. However, nothing compares with the real connections, ideas and fellowship of face-to-face gatherings. Your comfort level is important to us, and your safety is paramount. As we prepare to host you and your group, rest assured we will be following guidelines set forth by government officials, and health and safety professionals.

Beyond our numerous hand-sanitizing stations and high standard of cleanliness, we are prepared to adapt to meet your needs and address any concerns. As examples, some of our clients have requested temperature checks while others have implemented their own stoplight bracelet program. Please reach out to us and let us know how we can help or further explain what we are doing to keep our customers safe.
